Warranty Policy

Lodstun Liberal Star / Silver Strider mobility scooter are covered under our 1-year warranty,an all-inclusive manufacturer's warranty for the owner against all manufacturing defects. (All free accessories are not covered by warranty service.)

WARRANTY PERIOD AND TARGET AUDIENCE TERMS

The warranty is registered automatically when the initial purchaser orders and then receives the product from our online shop and applies to the initial purchaser only.

      COVERED PRODUCTS

      Lodstun will replace any component that is deemed to be defective or damaged (including damage incurred during shipment), except in case of user error. The warranty covers the listed products and follows the terms below:

      Frame

      This warranty includes a replacement frame only. Labor charges associated with transferring parts to replacement frames are not included. An authorized Lodstun service representative will determine if the frame meets the replacement standard.

      Lodstun reserves the right to use scratch and dent stock when replacing a frame under this warranty. Frame styles and/or colors not in stock may be replaced with a compatible style and/or color at Lodstun’s discretion.

      Frame issues excluded from this warranty include but are not limited to:

      • Corrosion
      • Paint fade, scratches, and impact marks
      • Impact damage
      • Non-reversible modification (such as drilling or welding)
      • Chain guard mounted to the frame, if applicable

      Batteries

      Please note that information regarding the expected range on a single charge on one of our mobility scooters is an estimate, not a guarantee. There are many factors that contribute to the actual, real-world range for an mobility scooter battery such as the age of the battery, temperature, level of assist, speed, payload, and terrain. Given the right conditions, it is possible to get less than the expected minimum range or greater than the expected maximum range. Lodstun reserves the right to use substitute parts, material, or equipment of equivalent quality and value that meet Lodstun’s strict standards).

      During the limited warranty time – A defective battery will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery will remain unchanged from the original purchase date.

      No cash reimbursement will be made.

      Batteries can be assessed and found defective directly by Lodstun only.

      This Limited Warranty does not cover:

      • Defects or damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemical exposure, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electricalor electromechanical stress;
      • Defects or damage caused by private modification;
      • Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage, unless caused by Lodstun;
      • Products that have the serial number or bar-code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
      • Ordinary wear and tear;
      • Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by Lodstun for the Products;
      • Defects or damage caused by the assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment of the Products in a manner that varies from the Assembly Instructions or Owner's Manual;
      • Defects or damage resulting from external causes such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any electrical source.

            In addition, with respect to the battery, this Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from following actions or situations:

      • Charging with a battery charger not intended or appropriate for use with the Battery;

      • Using a battery charger improperly;

      • If any of the seals on the battery are broken or show evidence of tampering;

      • If the Battery has been used in equipment other than the mobility scooter for which it is specified.

      Parts & Components

      Original Lodstun parts and components are covered by a limited warranty. (If more than 15 days have passed since the date of receipt of the mobility scooter, the replacement of parts within the warranty period will require shipping costs.)

      This Limited Warranty does not cover:

      • Parts compromised by corrosion due to exposure to the elements (moisture, heat, etc.);
      • Damage or deterioration of the surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics of the product;
      • The Warranty of the frame, forks, handlebar, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, crank-set, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD, kickstand, reflectors, and hardware only extendsone week after receiving the goods. Parts damaged during use after seven days will be charged to the customer;
      • Labor charges for part replacement or changeover;
      • Defects or damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress;
      • Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by Lodstun;
      • Products with the serial number or bar-code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
      • Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by Lodstun for the Products;
      • Defects or damage caused by improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from the Assembly Instructions or Owner's Manual;
      • Defects or damage resulting from external causes, such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any electrical source.
      • Ordinary wear and tear not resultingfrom defects in workmanship or materials. Wear and tear can be assessed by Lodstun. Parts not typically covered include but are not limited to: tires, saddles, plastic parts, brakes, brakes rotors,brake pads, brake lines, surface scratches, etc.

      WHAT WILL WE NOT DO?

      Lodstun will not replace any part without first seeing photos or video of the damaged part. We will not offer a warranty service to second owners. We will not replace any part damaged by the user. We will not pay for any third party service or part replacement unless agreed upon prior to the fix. We will not pay for return shipping on any damaged or defective product or component. Lodstun will not cover any damage that may occur during shipping if the owner sets up their own shipping option or if the mobility scooter is shipped using a freight forwarder or similar service.

      TERMS OF WARRANTY

      This warranty only applies to the original owner of an Lodstun bicycle. This warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of defective parts at the sole discretion of Lodstun. This warranty does not cover any damage or defects resulting from failure to follow instructions in the owner’s manual, acts of god, accident, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, alterations, modification, improper assembly, wear and tear, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the bicycle as sold, operator error, water damage, extreme riding, stunt riding, or improper follow-up maintenance. Only in extreme cases will an entire replacement mobility scooter be issued, in these cases the original mobility scooter may have to ship to the Lodstun facility for inspection/repairs before a new mobility scooter is sent out. If repairs can be made, a new mobility scooter will not always be sent. This warranty does not include consumables or normal wear and tear parts (tires, tubes, brake pads, cables and housing, grips, chain, spokes). Lodstun will not be liable and/or responsible for any damage, failure or loss caused by any unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts. Shipping damage must be reported to Lodstun within a reasonable amount of time after shipment arrival. In no event shall Lodstun be responsible for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, including without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, or product liability in connection with their products.

      CLAIMS

      All claims to this warranty must be made through Lodstun. Proof of purchase may be required with any warranty request. Before making a warranty claim, we suggest that you contact our Technical Support team at service@lodstun.com as there may be a simple fix for your problem. Valid warranty claims will be processed through Lodstun within one year of initial purchase. Warranty claims may be submitted to service@lodstun.com.
